Overview


The Administrator Plus (also known as A+ and A Plus) training course is designed to provide entry-level computer support technicians with the knowledge to install, upgrade, configure, optimize, operate, and troubleshoot personal computers.


In addition, it provides the engineer with the customer service and communication skills necessary to interact with customers.


This course prepares the student to sit the CompTIA Administrator Plus, A Plus, or otherwise known as A+ exams.


Course Objectives

  • Candidates are better prepared to troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Technicians understand a wide variety of issues ranging from networking and operating systems to mobile devices and security
  • A+ supports the ability to connect users to the data they need to do their jobs regardless of the devices being used


Pre-Requisites

  • Basic knowledge of computing concepts
  • End-user skills on Windows-based computers
  • 9-12 months hands on experience


Exam Required for CompTIA A+ Certification

To gain A+ certification, the student must pass two exams:

  • Exam 220-901 – CompTIA A+ Essentials
  • Exam 220-902 – Practical Applications

Duration of each exam: 90 minutes (90 questions)
Passing Scores: exam 901: 675; exam 902: 700
